Your rat will constantly groom his or her self to keep clean and will rarely need to be given a bath. Also, giving a rat a bath is much easier than giving a cat or dog a bath. Simply get a small bucket, some soap, and a sponge and you are all set.
Companionship – As I said earlier, rats love to bond and create social relationships. You’ll find that you will quickly become fast friends with your pet rats and they will thoroughly enjoy spending time with you.
In fact, my brother’s pet rat Sally used to actually sleep in bed with him each night. He would feed her rat food right from his hand. She was quite and calm and would follow him everywhere he went.
